Entering and registering

All our race entries are through the TRI NZ endorsed Game Day platform.

If you are not a member of a Triathlon NZ Affiliated Tri Club, you will automatically be charged for a one-day race license for the event. (This covers our insurance and affiliation fees)

All athletes will need to collect their race packs either the day before or on the day.

National Age Group Championships: Your category is based on the age you will be on 31 December 2026. Athletes compete in five-year age groups.
New Zealand Schools Championships: Your category is based on your age on 1 January 2026:

The Sprint Duathlon is a qualifying event for the 2027 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Edmonton, Canada. Triathlon New Zealand eligibility and selection requirements apply.

Our shorter event options are designed for people who want to give run–bike–run a go in a friendly and supportive environment. You don’t need to be an experienced athlete or own a specialist racing bike—just choose the event that suits you and start from there

Teams Event

Share the day with friends, whānau, clubmates, workmates or classmates.

One person can complete the running legs and another the cycling leg, making the team event a great way to experience the atmosphere without doing the entire race yourself.
